FAILURE IS THE SUCCESS OF PILLAR - it's really true. First attempt fail, whole world talked about it. Everybody thought that this is Impossible. But they proved that nothing is impossible.Yes, this is INDIAN SPACE RESEARCH ORGANIZATION, world known as ISRO . The largest space agency in the world.
ISRO was successful in every complex mission in their first attempt. Chandrayaan 2 is one of them. It's a really complex mission because the mission consist one lander called vikram, rover pryagyan and orbitor. In every complex mission every space agency should focus on only orbitor mission. Mission to Moon is not easy.
The main scientific objective is to map and study the variations in lunar surface composition, as well as the location and abundance of lunar surface.
The spacecraft was launched on its mission to the Moon from the second launch pad at the Satish Dhawan Space Centre on 22 July 2019 at 2.43 PM IST (09:13 UTC) by a Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle Mark III (GSLV Mk III). The craft reached the Moon's orbit on 20 August 2019 and began orbital positioning manoeuvres for the landing of the Vikram lander. Vikram and the rover were scheduled to land on the near side of the Moon, in the south polar region at a altitude of about 70° south at approximately 20:23 UTC on 6 September 2019 and conduct scientific experiments for one lunar day, which approximates two Earth weeks.
After left from earth orbital, lander was go for land on the moon surface.
Few times later orbiter was successfully separate and placed in moon's orbital.
Few day's ago ISRO chairman Dr k.Sivan told the 15 min was very cruisal.
Everything was going right, but after reaching the altitute of 2km ISRO lost contact with vikram lander.
scientist thought that what happened with the lander. ISRO tried to make contact but failed. Even NASA tried for contact with lander, they also failed.
THOUGHTS OF MIND:
Everybody thought that this mission was failed. But this was not a failure, because orbiter is continue rotating. This mission was 95% successful.
ACHIEVEMENTS:
ISRO release closest photo of the moon.
ISRO Releases First Illuminated Image Acquired by Chandrayaan 2's IIRS Payload.
One of the eight scientific payloads on board chandrayaan- 2's orbiter, has measured solar flares between september 30 and october 1, which will help to better understand various processes on the sun.
