MISSION GAGANYAAN-new complex mission of ISRO

The honorable Prime Minister of INDIA Narendra Modi had announced about the Gaganyaan mission during his speech in the independence day . The Chairman of ISRO Mr. K Sivan said ,"our Prime Minister has declared a great gift for all of us that is Gaganyaan mission". This is Indian first manned space mission. After getting success of every complex mission like 104 satellite launched by one rocket, mission to Mars etc. ISRO is capable to launch first manned space mission. ISRO choose for this mission GSLV(Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle) rocket. For this mission ISRO need 3 astronauts. The crew module in which the three astronauts will leave for space, will be made of 3-7 meter diameter and 7 meter height. According to G Madhavan Nair (former ISRO Chief): The mission will enables ISRO to achieve higher levels of reliability in launch and satellite technology. It will help in providing employment to 15000 people and out of them 861 will be from ISRO. This human space flight will take 16 minutes to reach the orbit where it will stay for 5-7 days. The space craft will be placed in a low earth orbit of 300-400 km.The best thing is this spacecraft is being developed by Indian  Space Research Organisation(ISRO). It consists of a service module and a crew  module, collectively known as the Orbital Module . The Indian Space agency displayed the Gaganyaan crew model and orange space suits at the Bengaluru Space Expo 6 th edition . The space suits were devoloped at Vikram Sarabhai Space centre,Thiruvannthapuram. With the ability to hold one oxygen cylinder, the suit will allow the astronaut to breath in space for 60 minutes. The capsule will rotate around the earth every 90 minutes, and astronauts will be able to witness sunrise and sunset .The three astronauts will be also able to see INDIA from space every 24 hours, while they conduct experiments on micro-gravity. The capsule will land in the Arabian sea. The best thing is the whole mission will be complete in 10000 Rs.This is the turning point of ISRO. ISRO has developed some critical technology like re-entry mission capability, crew escape system,  crew module configuration, thermal protection system, declaration and flotation  sub -system of life support system required for MISSION GAGANYAAN.
